ZX-609 9-Slot Multibus Backplane
The ZX-609 cardcage provides housing for 9 Multibus boards. The unit may be used as a stand-alone card cage complete with bus signal termination circuits and power supply connectors or may be mounted in a 7-inch high enclosure. The unique innovation in the ZX609 consists of two sockets wired into the Multibus which provide parallel priority bus resolution. A set of encoder/ decoder chips may be installed to provide parallel resolution or may be removed if the host master card has this capability or if serial resolution is desired. Auxiliary connectors are provided on the backplane printed circuit board for a ZX-904 PIO Module and a ZX-903 interrupt and reset control panel. The ZX-609 also features clean short bus wiring geometry for low capacitive loading and immunity to noise.
