The ZX-205 is a Floppy Disk Controller designed for 8-bit Multibus systems, which will control up to four 8 inch or 51/4 inch single/double sided, single/double density floppy disk drives. It offers IBM 3740 (FM) single density and IBM System 34 (MFM) double density disk formats. The ZX-205 features an mPD 765A floppy disk controller chip, DMA capability, 256 available I/O address locations and 16-bit memory addressing.
