Intel’s MIX486 baseboard combines increased CPU performance with increased internal bus speed and improved DMA performance for increased throughput.  The baseboard is available with Intel486SX, Intel486DX or Intel486DX2 microprocessors, operates at a bus speed of 33MHz and is compatible with Intel’s earlier MIX baseboards.  On-board memory is expandable to up to 32MB of DRAM using industry standard SIMMs (70 ns). The CDC provides all the control functions to implement a 128KB secondary (L2) cache with parity.

This baseboard can be used with a number of MIX Modules listed elsewhere, such as the MIX232, MIX422, MIX450, MIX560, etc.
