Very high-performance single Pentium board computer. This board has been designed for high-speed multiprocessing applications which require large amounts of DRAM. The CP SBC/PE1 board is available in several different variants which differ by amount of fitted DRAM. The CP SBC/PE1 is a member of the Concurrent Technologies range of single-board computers for the Multibus II architecture. It has been designed as a powerful single board computer based upon the Pentium processor, the 53C810 SCSI Controller and the 82596CA Ethernet co-processor.
Central Processor: Pentium 64-bit microprocessor operating internally at 100MHz and externally at 66.66MHz. It is capable of addressing 4 Gbytes of physical memory and 64 Terabytes of virtual memory. Memory Controller: Intel's NEPTUNE chipset. The chipset provides the cache controller for the level 2 cache, the DRAM controller, CPU to PCI accesses and PCI master accesses to DRAM. The Chipset supports concurrent CPU and PCI bus operations.Pentium burst and pipelining modes are supported to achieve a transfer rate of up to 422Mbytes/s from level 2 cache and up to 112Mbytes/s from DRAM. Level 2 Cache: A 64-bit wide 256Kbyte direct mapped write back level 2 cache is supported. The cache is implemented with synchronous burst SRAMs which support the Pentium burst and pipelining modes. On board DRAM is the only memory that can be cached by the processor interlan cache and/or level 2 cache. DRAM: The board supports industry standard 72 pin SIMMs which can either be 2M x 32bit, 4M x 32bit, 8M x 32bit or 16M x 32bit. A total of four SIMM sockets for 16 to 256Mbytes. PCI Bus and Bridge ADMA Controller EPROM: Up to 2 Mbytes of EPROM or 1 Mbyte of FLASH EPROM memory.
